Plopping down a new rug is an easy way to convert the look of a space. It can add a nice hit of color and texture to a room, ground furniture pieces and, of course, supply some comfy cushion under foot. Thing is, most of the designs I like are way out of my price range. Take for example Jonathan Adler’s Richard Nixon rug (above). I’ve been coveting that light blue and cream colored, hand loomed llama’s wool piece for quite some duration, and it’s precisely what my lackluster bedroom needs—the color and pattern are oh so perfect. But with a starting price of $720 for a 4 x 6 size rug, my lusting is going to have to linger a little longer. Well, perhaps not.
