Kohler sink too sexy to spit in

When it comes to the bathroom sink, the first thing on my aesthetic agenda is making certain no toothpaste residue is clinging to the sides of the basin.

I’m less inclined to strive for simplicity after seeing Kohler’s Mille Fleurs–a lavatory with gold and platinum blossoms and branches reaching out from the drain toward birds in flight.

Mighty fancy. And a fine accent to that tin ceiling we installed a few months back.

But I wonder–could I put that work of art through the degrading expectorations of oral hygiene?

I’d love to sink $1,300 on a sink, but I’m not quite ready to start brushing my teeth by the toilet.
