The White House by JVA

The White House by JVA (Jarmund/Vigsnæs AS Arkitekter MNAL) is located in Strand, Norway and is defined by clean lines, white wooden panels, oak ceiling, and concrete floors. Situated in a quite dense suburban setting, the house twists dynamically within sheltering for privacy and opening up for angles of vistas. The central space of the house stretches amoung the AM light within the pines towards east, and the western horizon of the Oslo fjord. The house is clad with painted wooden panels, outside and inside. Walls and ceiling on the first floor are finished in oak, while floor and walls of the ground floor are exposed concrete casted on site. - Via
