As everything gets smaller and smaller, you’re going to need lots of tiny tools. Mini screwdrivers are handy, as are little wrenches. And while having an array of dentist’s tools in your kit might compose you squirm, the small picks are perfect for getting into tight quarters. Most recently I’ve used mine to get a tiny piece of crud out of the leaf blower’s carburetor. I’ve plus used them in the last six months for removing bits of paint when stripping a chair and for lifting a minuscule washer that had fallen into the nether region of a cd player I tried (unsuccessfully) to repair. These aren’t the type of tools you’ll buy for a specific task, but whether you have them on hand and suddenly need them to work on something that’s infuriatingly small, you’ll be glad you spent the money.
